{"id":362,"date":"2019-02-15T10:48:21","date_gmt":"2019-02-15T10:48:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/xbrlexperts.in\/blog\/?p=362"},"modified":"2022-07-20T13:46:19","modified_gmt":"2022-07-20T13:46:19","slug":"xbrl-filing-extends-to-insurance-in-india","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/prathamconsult.com\/bak-main\/blog\/2019\/02\/15\/xbrl-filing-extends-to-insurance-in-india\/","title":{"rendered":"XBRL Filing Extends to Insurance in India"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;background: white\"><span style=\"color: #048aba\"><strong>XBRL Filing Extends to Insurance in India<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;background: white\"><span style=\"color: #333333\">Mumbai\u2019s stock exchange, the BSE, has extended mandatory XBRL filing to listed insurance companies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;background: white\"><span style=\"color: #333333\"><span style=\"color: #048aba\"><strong>On 8 February<\/strong><\/span> BSE launched an XBRL taxonomy to enable listed insurance companies to join all other listed entities in filing their financial reports in XBRL format. The BSE also offers an Excel utility with built-in validation to help smaller insurance concerns to correctly prepare and upload XBRL files to the BSE\u2019s Listing Portal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;background: white\"><span style=\"color: #333333\">While this will only affect a small number of firms, it is a welcome move, bringing insurance companies in line with their listed peers.
